Frequently asked questions
Do I have to add new publications myself?
No. Once your profile is set up, new publications are found automatically as PubMed indexes them, and you confirm the ones that are yours.
Can I use it for my NIH biosketch?
Yes, as the source for it. NIH biosketches are now prepared in SciENcv, which lists the publications in your NCBI My Bibliography. Export your confirmed publications as a file for My Bibliography, upload it there, and SciENcv offers all of them when you choose your products. Uploading a newer file later updates what is already there rather than adding it twice.
Can I get a summary for my annual review?
Yes. Progress Review puts together your publications, citations and grants for any timeframe you pick. Print it, save it as a PDF, or download it as a Word document.
What if one of my papers is not in PubMed?
Publications come from PubMed, so a paper in a journal PubMed does not index will not appear. MyResearchFocus is built for the biomedical and life-science literature PubMed covers.
